March is Arizona Archaeology and Heritage Awareness Month. The Friends of the San Pedro River will lead walks to significant historic sites within the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area every Saturday in March.

March 15
Fairbank Historic Townsite Fairbank is an authentic ghost town, dating to the Tombstone silver boom in the 1880s, which was nearby. Join FSPR docent Ron Stewart on this easy 2-mile walking tour of the townsite and cemetery. Meet at the Fairbank Schoolhouse.

March 22 - History Walk at South Fairbank
March 29 - History Walk to Clanton Ranch

All tours will start at 9:00 am. Wear a hat and good walking shoes; bring sunscreen, water, and a snack. Allow at least 3 hours for each walk.
