2024 Bisbee Self-Guided Church Architecture Tour, Free
On Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 am to 4 pm, the public is invited to discover the exceptional interiors of thirteen churches of various denominations on a free, self-guided tour in five Bisbee neighborhoods. The Bisbee Restoration Museum and the Cochise County Historical Society are sponsors for this year’s church tour.
The free, self-guided tour lets visitors learn about these churches and marvel at the architectural features of each of the thirteen buildings at their own pace.
Many churches will be holding fundraisers on the day of the tour. Thanks to each church’s congregation and docents for making this fine-art history tour possible.

BACKGROUND:
For over 100 years, Cochise County has been home to numerous churches, many with outstanding architectural features. Bisbee is fortunate to have had financial help from the mining industry, the dedicated mining industry, and their families, who supported the construction of these houses of worship. The “boom days” of mining-inspired elaborate structures in Old Bisbee and surrounding communities, and several congregations built post-modern churches.
