Grand Central Mill processed silver ore from the Grand Central Mine in Tombstone. The mill is located one mile north of Fairbank in the SPRNCA. A Friends docent will explain the history of the site and show the remains of the mill, mostly the foundations where the 200 foot long, multi-story building once stood. Meet at the Fairbank Schoolhouse for this 2 mile, 3 hour tour. The trail is maintained, but be sure to wear walking shoes. Dress for the weather and bring water. When: 1 PM Where: Meet at the Fairbank Schoolhouse. Fairbank is on Highway 82 just east of the San Pedro River. Admission is free.
