Vineyards

Arizona’s wine industry is finding new life in Cochise County with the recent opening of new vineyards. Arizona and California wineries have been buying Arizona grapes for more than 20 years. The climate here, with bright sunny days, cool nights and warm soil, is often compared to the wine regions of southern France and Spain.

Coronado Vineyards This winery and on-site vineyard offers daily tastings as well as lunches Thursday through Saturday and Sunday brunch.

Colibri Vineyards is tucked away at the end of a long dirt road. In a valley surrounded by the foothills of the Chiricahua, owners first harvested grapes in spring 2003. Open by appointment only and during special events.

Keeling-Schaefer Vineyards offers exclusively estate grown and bottled wine from its 21-acre vineyards. Keeling-Schaefer will open a tasting room in Willcox in fall 2008.
