Although the Butterfield Overland Stage ran for only 2 years, it was a turning point in American history. This will mark 154 years since John Butterfield’s overland mail and passenger service connected East with West. An official U.S. Post Office Pony Express mail run will take letters with a special cancellation on horseback from Benson to Dragoon on Saturday. Vendors and entertainment will be held in Lions Park. Craft vendors will hold demonstrations, and there will be music and entertainment.
