Join the Friends of the San Pedro river for a history hike to the Old West site of Millville. This 2 hour, 2.5 miles (total) hike on gravel trails included irregular surfaces, uphill sections and crossing a wash. The Corbin and Gird mills processed silver ore mined in Tombstone. These stamp mills on the east side of the river roared day and night for the boom years between 1878 and 1889. It was a “boomtown” in every sense of the word – a quick rise and a rapid decline. This site also contains many petroglyphs etched into the rocky hillsides.
