The historic Gleeson Jail was built in 1910 when the copper mining town of Gleeson was booming. In its heyday, Gleeson had a population of 1,500 residents. When the mines played out, folks left and today Gleeson is a ghost town. You can still see remnants of the hospital, school, and a few other buildings. The Gleeson Jail houses a museum filled with newspaper articles, artifacts, and memorabilia from back in "the day."
