The site commemorates the conflict between the Chiricahua Apaches and the U. S. military. Getting into Fort Bowie, you'll follow the trail on a 1.5-mile hike in to the Visitor Center. Along the way, you'll see the site where the Bascom Affair occurred. Tour the ruins of Fort Bowie and see exhibits in the Visitor Center.
