Join one of our trained docents to discover why the San Pedro River has been designated one of the Last Great Places by the Nature Conservancy. Here you'll find 82 species of mammals, dozens of reptiles and amphibians and nearly 350 species of birds. The slower paced walks are usually 1 1/2 to 2 miles long over easy terrain and suitable for most adults and children.

Where: Depart from the San Pedro House, 9800 Highway 90, east of Sierra Vista at the river.

When: 8 AM

There is no charge for the walks, but donations are accepted

Please dress appropriately for the weather. Bring drinking water, trail shoes or similar footwear, a hat, and use sun protection.

Basic Directions

From Sierra Vista, head east on Hwy 90 toward Bisbee. Turn right at the sign for the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area.
