Individuality is practically a mantra in Bisbee, and a new clothing store will help residents and visitors show their unique style. Whether it is 50's Retro, 40's Classic, Western, Rock-and-roll, Rockabilly, Victorian, Gothic or Steampunk Clothing, Clubwear, Costumes or Accessories you’re looking for, Bisbee now has a new source for cool duds.
Opening soon on Subway Street, HYDRA Bisbee will specialize in clothing, both new and vintage, as well as shoes, boots, accessories and costumes for men and women. HYDRA Bisbee is the second location from the folks who brought you Tucson-based store of the same name.
HYDRA Bisbee will hold its grand opening celebration from Noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9. The event will be a block party with HYDRA and neighboring stores opening their doors and inviting friends to enjoy live music from local band Buzz and the Soul Senders, refreshments, dancing and fun.
Owners Margo Susco and Joe Susco, who are brother and sister, come from a tight-knit Italian/Greek family. They grew up steeped in Italian and Greek history and culture. So, when thinking up a name they wanted something catchy and memorable that had a bit of cultural significance. Their father came up with the name, and it has stuck. The HYDRA location in downtown Tucson has been open since 1999, and they are proud to open the new HYDRA Bisbee.
