Family Campout program at Kartchner Caverns State Park

If you missed last fall's family camping program at Kartchner Caverns State Park, you have another chance April 12 & 13 and April 26 & 27!

Introduce your family to camping thanks to the Arizona State Parks’ Family Campout Program. If you don’t have the gear or the experience, that's OK. It's a chance to enjoy camping without going it alone. The program is designed for families who have little to no experience camping but want to enjoy Arizona’s great outdoors.

They’ll supply the gear you need and even show you a few activities. Plus, they’ll provide s’mores! You can sign up for the program, which is for a Saturday night and camp out and leave on Sunday.

The park provides meals, camping gear, and activities including hiking, archery, geology, and more. The program fee is only $85 for a family of four, plus $5 for each additional family member. This will give you an introduction to camping so you can see how it’s done and enjoy many weekends of family camping.
