This month, the Friends of the San Pedro River present Eddie Figueroa, a well-known local historian and collector. Mr. Figueroa’s ancestors were one of the earliest ranching families in Cochise County, dating back to when Fairbank was established in the early 1880s. He volunteers for the Friends and the Bureau of Land Management whenever possible to help keep Fairbank’s history alive.

Mr. Figueroa will describe life in Fairbank in the late 1800s to early 1900s as he shares his family history in stories and pictures. What was it like to run a ranch in those days? How did the railroad contribute to Fairbank's rise and fall? Those questions, and more, will be answered in this talk.
