Unfortunately, the Bisbee Turquoise Hunt will not be held in 2013.

Rockhounds rejoice! The Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum offers this opportunity once a year: the chance to search through the historic No. 7 Mine Stockpile. These man-made hills were built up over Bisbee’s 100 years of mining history. Participants can hunt for high-quality Bisbee turquoise.

For 2 hours each day, rock hounds can scour the earth for the rarest and, some would say, most valuable “Bisbee Turquoise” along with other minerals. Whether a rockhound, jewelry maker, lapidary buff or a western heritage enthusiast, pack up a rock pick, collection bag and join the search for this hidden treasure. Tours can sell out, so reserve early!
